Hundreds of thousand of people are living in a city of Las Vegas. But the security team to monitor the whole city’s information just consists on three employees, which includes one intern. Chief information officer relies on AI to make the tech and the information of whole Las Vegas secure.

Artificial Intelligence is becoming so charged in a way that it is being used in all the tech industries and also in Cyber Security. Most of the Enterprise Security Firms are adding AI features to make their data more secure plus detecting the anomalies in products if there is any. They want no human intervention in these whole projects. It is totally going to be based on AI to make things faster and smarter.

“The things that keep me up most are ransomware and phishing,” Vegas CIO Michael Sherwood tells TechCrunch. “They’re some of the simplest attacks but the hardest to defend against.” You can say that Las Vegas depends on AI because Vegas wants to rest well at night, so Sherwood relies on AI security solutions from Darktrace to support his small team.

But Darktrace, which launched in 2013, says it has been using AI since the beginning. CEO Nicole Eagan says, “We have a three-plus year lead on anyone else,”

Darktrace says, “A lot of companies are messaging machine learning. I always ask, ‘What is it doing?’ The way we are using it is quite different.”

Darktrace product’s main purpose is to detect the anomalies using AI security to secure the stored data. Automated response is new in a way that Sherwood says, “With Darktrace, a lot of the worry is taken out of certain components,” he says. “As it tells us what it would like to do, we can say those are good responses and implement these controls immediately.”

Darktrace goal is to make each and every product more reliable in a way that there should be no human intervention, each and every step  should be self taken by a product using AI. The AI takeover might sound frightening, but Sherwood is very much confident on his idea. Let’s see what happens next.
