Company is well known for its new reach of $100 million users in Africa. So the company has decided to spread its business all over the Africa, making it official browser of Africa. For this reason company donates the profit budget of $100 million which will principally be in the three main regions of Africa, South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya — where it is planning to strengthen its product, growing its ecosystem of partners and bring more users attention aboard. For further business spread, Opera is trying to reach its business to other regions and developing countries as well.

It is trying to make its services more efficient and responsive towards the customers. Opera is doing great job using media to have its consistent attention towards its users.

Opera is advertising in Africa using TV channel ads and quiet other social networking websites to grab the users’ attention.

“We’re stepping up, the purpose of the browser is evolving,” Standal said. “Particularly around news publishing, the browser is one of the main gateways to consumption. If you want to reach people, you have to work with web browsers… and we’re changing our role from being a browser to content aggregator.”

Standal have always stressed focus on “Premium contents” to benefit Opera financially as every company does.

Opera has now settled its target after investing $100 million, and company is expecting to make this $100 million investment at least thrice of the invested.

“We’re going after this investment plan because we have a very strong position in Africa,” Standal explained. “We want to continue to grow the internet base.”

Opera has an office in South Africa already and is also running to push its business into other small regions like Kenya and Nigeria. The company said it plans to hire 100 people across its workforce in all three countries.
